Equinor has exercised the option to extend the frame contract with Soiltech until May 31, 2028. As a result, the Norwegian oil and gas operator has three remaining extension options, each for two years.

This assignment enables Soiltech to provide its full technology portfolio of waste management services, with a focus on efficiency improvements and waste reduction, recovery, and reuse.

Jan Erik Tveteraas, CEO of Soiltech, commented: “Our ambition is to be at the forefront of technology development in the industry. Equinor’s extension of the contract is a recognition of the performance of our teams, both offshore and onshore.”

This contract extension comes months after Soiltech landed a job to perform fluid treatment and other services on a semi-submersible rig managed by Odfjell Drilling.
