Norway’s Reach Subsea is set to charter a Solstad construction support vessel (CSV) for deployment in the Mediterranean and Black Sea region as part of its commitment under a newly secured letter of intent (LOI).
Reach Subsea’s new LOI is for a contract covering inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) and light construction services for a period of two years, including a one-year extension option.
In connection with this, the company has entered a separate LOI with Solstad Maritime (SOMA) for the charter of Normand Jarstein.
Subject to a final contract, the commitment will see the vessel begin transit during the current week.
The final contract, expected to be concluded the following week, is for a firm period of two years, with one optional year.
The 2014-built, 117.35-meter-long Normand Jarstein previously had a 135-day contract for subsea support and services in West Africa, partnering with Omega Subsea, after which it operated in the North Sea.
