Norway’s Well Expertise Consultancy, a subsidiary of Well Expertise, has landed a multi-year deal to provide Vår Energi, an oil and gas operator, with drilling, wells, and subsurface consultants to assist the hydrocarbon player in carrying out onshore and offshore operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

While revealing the award of a frame agreement with Vår Energi for the provision of drilling, wells, and subsurface specialists to support the operator’s activities in Norway, Well Expertise Consultancy explained that the five-year contract was secured in collaboration with OREC, which will take the lead responsibility for delivering subsurface personnel.

Tore Fahle, Manager of Well Expertise Consultancy, commented: “We are very pleased to secure this contract – especially as a newcomer in this segment – and support the Operator in their operations in Norway. Vår Energi has a very exciting portfolio of activity going forward, and we look forward to contributing to their success.”

This deal comes with three optional two-year extensions, which are said to ensure a long-term collaboration focused on delivering “safe, efficient, and innovative” well and subsurface solutions in Well Expertise’s opinion.

Under this call-off contract, the firm will supply highly skilled specialists to strengthen Vår Energi’s drilling and subsurface activities across its extensive portfolio.

The Norwegian operator has been expanding its portfolio, as illustrated by its deal with TotalEnergies to acquire a non-operated interest in mature fields, situated in the Greater Ekofisk Area.
