Wärtsilä equipment ordered for China-built LNG bunkering vessel duo

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, part of technology group Wärtsilä, has been appointed to supply its cargo handling and fuel gas supply systems for two LNG bunkering vessels that are under construction in China.

The vessels have a capacity of 20,000 m3 and are currently being built at the Zhejiang XinLe Shipbuilding yard for a Hong Kong-based shipowner.

Wärtsilä‘s full scope includes LNG cargo handing and fuel gas supply systems, system engineering and design, as well as the integrated control and monitoring of the complete LNG cargo handling operation.

The order was booked in Q4 2025, with the equipment scheduled for delivery to the yard commencing in the fourth quarter of this year.

The vessels are expected to be delivered during the latter half of 2027.
