Shipping volumes for Asian goods to Europe have been strong this year in a trend likely to continue, the head of container firm Hapag-Lloyd, the world’s fifth largest, said on Thursday.
“We have seen very healthy growth in Asia to Europe,” said the company’s chief executive, Rolf Habben Jansen, in a call with reporters on presenting earnings data for the first nine months of the year.
“Most of that is in the consumer goods section and…electric vehicles have also been helping a lot in 2025,” he added.
