Samudera Shipping Line to acquire second-hand container vessel for US$50.36 million

Samudera Shipping Line has entered a memorandum of agreement for the acquisition of a second-hand container vessel for US$50.36 million.

The vessel has a capacity of 2,684 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU), and is sold by an unrelated third party.

The proposed acquisition will be financed through a combination of internal resources and bank borrowings, and the vessel is expected to be delivered in 4Q2025.

Shares in Samudera Shipping closed 1 cent lower or 0.98% down at $1.01 on Sept 2.
