Ukraine carried out another drone attack, this time targeting the Russian Port of Temryuk at night.

The principal export hub for liquified hydrocarbon gas suffered from a fire, but thankfully, there were no casualties, and the staff were evacuated from the site.

Around 32 experts and 8 firefighting equipment pieces were sent to extinguish the fire, along with emergency services working on the site.

According to eyewitness reports and a video circulating online, a gas terminal within the facility was seen burning.

Temryuk Port on the Taman shore of the Azov Sea is operated by the Mechel Group. It mainly transships general cargo, bulk cargo, grain and also storage and production facility rentals.

It is southern Russia’s major export point for LPG, with oil shipments also routed abroad from the terminal.

The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that its air-defence systems have intercepted and destroyed 41 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones across several areas.

This latest attack comes after Ukraine targeted Russia’s energy infrastructure many times in November, when drone strikes and resultant fires were reported twice in just 10 days, from Novorossiysk Port, which is Russia’s biggest port on the Black Sea.

An attack on November 14, 2025, damaged the Sheskharis oil terminal, forcing the facility to stop oil intake and also exports. It was hit again on November 24, and a Russian landing ship also suffered damage in the second strike.

Tuapse, a main Black Sea oil export terminal, was also hit repeatedly. The attack on November 2, 2025, damaged the port and also hit an oil tanker, forcing the Rosneft refinery to suspend operations.

Ukraine, in the past few months, has intensified its attacks on Russian refineries, storage sites and export terminals, stating that it aims to weaken Moscow’s war economy.
