Guyana’s oil output almost unchanged at 664,000 bpd in July

Oil output in Guyana was almost unchanged last month at around 664,000 barrels per day (bpd), the government said in a bulletin on Thursday, which led to an average of 643,000 bpd in the first seven months of the year.

The South American country’s oil production capacity, which is controlled by a consortium led by U.S. major Exxon Mobil, is expected to surpass 900,000 bpd later this year after output recently commenced at a fourth floating facility.

Output in the Jan-July period last year was 595,000 bpd, according to the data.

Guyana received $218 million in revenue from oil sales and royalties last month, which increased the country’s total revenue so far this year to more than $1.4 billion, according to the central bank.
