Kremlin says US sanctions relief on Russian oil not discussed in detail

The Kremlin stated on Tuesday that the potential removal of U.S. sanctions on Russian oil has not been discussed in detail with Washington.

The comments come amid reports that the Trump administration has considered easing sanctions on Russia to lower the price of oil.

The markets have been rattled with soaring oil prices since Monday amid the U.S.-Israel war in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
