
Oman-based Asyad Shipping Company SAOG has completed the sale of four LNG’s to undisclosed owner.
Announcing the vessel sales, Asyad Shipping Company SAOG said in a filing to the Muscat Stock Exchange that it completed the sale of the LNG vessels Ibra and Nizwa. Ibra LNG was delivered to its new owner on February 10, 2026, followed by the delivery of Nizwa LNG on February 16, 2026.
This completes the sale of the four LNG’s – 2005-built Salalah (81,035),2006-built Ibri (77,282), 2006-built Ibra (81,057) and 2005-built Nizwa (77,252) – as announced by the company on January 11 and February 4, 2026. The final proceeds for all the vessels, according to Asyad Shipping, have been received.
To remind, Asyad Shipping Company S.A.O.G on January 11 announced an agreement to sell its partially owned LNG vessels; Ibra, Ibri, Nizwa and Salalah on December 23, 2025, that were built by the company 20 years ago, for US$110m.
The Salalah LNG was delivered to its new owner on January 28, 2026, followed by the delivery of the Ibri LNG on February 3, 2026.
All conditions related to the transaction of the LNG vessels have been satisfied. With the handover of the vessels to the new owner, Asyad Shipping said these four assets have been derecognized from the company’s balance sheet.
According to its website data, Asyad Shipping Company’s fleet comprises of 81 vessels, including the vessels sold, with ongoing plans to grow further across key shipping sectors.
