Spanish electric utility company Iberdrola has picked marine and engineering consultancy Global Maritime to provide critical marine services in support of operations and maintenance on the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm
The second large-scale offshore wind project in France was developed by Ailes Marines and is owned by Iberdrola. It is a 496MW facility located 16 km off the coast of Brittany, France. With a total investment of €2.4bn ($2.8bn), the project aims to generate 1,820 GWh of clean energy annually, which will supply energy to 835,000 people.
As part of the agreement, Global Maritime will deliver a comprehensive range of marine services, including vessel inspections and audit services, general marine support, and HSEQ. The framework also covers marine consultancy, marine warranty surveying, engineering, and technical support.
The framework agreement will be managed through the company’s London office, with support from its teams in Spain, Germany, and Norway.
Global Maritime will draw on a memorandum of understanding established with Accenture’s Boslan in April 2024 to support the delivery of this framework agreement.
