Latsis-linked EuroHoldings grows product tanker exposure with second Latsco purchase

Nasdaq-listed Greek owner EuroHoldings has expanded its presence in the product tanker market with the acquisition of another MR unit from fellow Latsis family-linked owner Latsco Shipping.

The company said it had agreed to acquire the 2015-built 49,997 dwt Hellas Fighter for $39.25m, with delivery expected between mid-June and mid-August 2026.

EuroHoldings said the purchase will be financed through a combination of existing cash resources and debt financing.

The latest acquisition marks another step in the company’s move into the tanker sector, a strategy unveiled in August 2025 shortly after Latsis vehicle Marla Investments took a controlling stake in the company.

Originally spun off by boxship owner Euroseas in March 2024, EuroHoldings was established to hold three vessel-owning subsidiaries. The company currently owns two feeder containerships and one MR product tanker.

The company’s first tanker acquisition was announced in November 2025, when it agreed to buy the 49,997 dwt MR product carrier Hellas Avatar (pictured) also from Latsco Shipping for $31.83m.
