Perdana Petroleum wins anchor handler work

Malaysian offshore marine support services firm Perdana Petroleum has won a new contract for the charter of an anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessel.

The contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, Perdana Nautika, and will last for 120 days. The identity of the client was left undisclosed due to confidentiality clauses.

The vessel will also supply the crew and equipment to perform continuous 24-hour service to drilling rigs, offshore installations, derrick barges, as well as towing and anchor jobs.

The contract also has an option to extend by an additional 100 days. The value of the deal will depend on the work order award issued.

The company operates a fleet of 14 offshore support vessels, including five AHTS vessels. Perdana did not state which vessel would be used for the contract.
